ABSTRACT
Despite the fact that the fuel cells’ operation principle, including reactions, is quite simple, their design and engineering are rather complex. From a simplistic point of view, there are great new materials available and there exists a great deal of useful engineeringknowledge to build successful devices. However, in practice, these approaches have not fully succeeded in providing satisfying answers to the economic challenges and technical requirements faced by these technologies.
