ABSTRACT

The use of concrete in buildings is very vast and omnipresent, according to the European Association ofArchitects estimates that the total social energy consumption of building energy use half the amount, of which there are half used in air-conditioning electricity, because the general concrete construction materials thermal efficiency is poor, leading to the indoor temperature fluctuations, environment is not comfortable, it lengthened the open air of the time, resulting in a waste of energy (Chao-Lung Hwang 1997, Very Hot Xia 1980). The main purpose of this study is to investigate the nature of the thermal conductivity of ordinary concrete and compare add different particle sizes lightweight aggregate concrete effect on the heat transfer properties.
