ABSTRACT
The theory of the optimal topology of grillages (beam systems) was developed by the author’s research group. Reviews of the grillage theory may be found in several texts (e.g. Rozvany and Hill 1976, Prager and Rozvany 1977b, Rozvany 1989 and Rozvany, Bendsoe and Kirsch 1995).
