ABSTRACT
A total of 20 continuous beam specimens of different cross-sectional Geometry was tested. Three symmetrical five-point bending configurations (Figure 1) were employed in this study.The overall nominal length of continuous beams was 1690 mm. In loading configuration B5I, the distance between the loading points and the supports were all equal to 400 mm (L1 = L2 = 400 mm), while in the configurations B5II and B5III, the loads were applied at one third of the half span (L2 = 266.7 mm) and two thirds of the half span (L2 = 533.3 mm), respectively.
