3 RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

In terms of flexural strength, can be determined that in the presence of torsion, there is no increase in the flexural capacity of a multi-span composite steel-concrete beam. Furthermore, failure of the beam specimens arrives at an earlier stage when torsion is present since

the beams fail in torsion in these cases and not by flexure. While, under higher levels of flexure, the beams failed by crushing of the concrete (flexural failure) and were able to achieve a higher applied load than the specimens that were loaded under higher levels of torsion.
