ABSTRACT
After fire exposure, the strength of the stainless steel undergoes deterioration, whilst the post-fire stressstrain curve maintains the same basic shape of the “rounded” type. The strength reduction in flat coupons and curved coupons is similar, but the corner coupon shows significantly decrease in strength. Figure 1 shows the comparison between three types of coupons after being heated to 1000◦C, the stress-strain curve of the corner coupon is close to those of flat and curved coupons.
