ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to find out how robust the energy savings achieved are as the input parameters used are varied systematically. The parametric study presented in this paper follows three main directions: (1) the influence of the ratio of the live load over the dead load vs. the length of the span; (2) A simplified cost analysis will be carried out to check to which extent the energy saving made translate into monetary savings; (3) the span to depth ratio of the trusses is varied to study the importance of the shape of the structure.
