ABSTRACT
Figure 4. OIM micrographs of Mild Steel reveal variation from case to core (left to right) through the depth of Steel at 800◦C for (a) 1 hr and (b) 3 hrs. packed in pouch with the cassava leaves and mild steel. These held at various temperatures (400◦C-950◦C) at a series of time periods (1 hr-5 hr). Average powder particle size ranged from 0.125-1.0 mm. All samples are then analyzed with Orientation Imaging Microscopy (OIM) and Vickers hardness testing.
