ABSTRACT
The basilica S. Maria di Collemaggio is the most important church in the city of L’Aquila, Italy. Dynamic behavior of the Basilica was characterized by means of numerical and experimental studies conducted before the occurrence of the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake. The earthquake caused a partial collapse of the structure in the transept area.
