ABSTRACT
The ground motion estimated at the CdS site has been deemed compatible (Mulas et al. 2013) with the magnitude of the static horizontal forces (7% of gravity loads) prescribed by the 1962 Code and assumed for the design. The elastic response spectra and the ratio of the extreme values of ground acceleration show that acceleration along the principal direction of the CdS building E23◦S was 35% of that in direction N23◦E.This fact will be accounted for in the direction the capacity curves of the structure are computed.
