Generation of spectrum compatible site-dependent earthquake load histories by evolutionary approach

Records of natural seismic events rarely comply with the design code requirement to be ‘response spectrum compatible’ at the specific site. This lack produces the need of suitable methods for the digital generation of accelerograms from target response spectra given by a design code with significant efforts recently made to include both amplitude variation and changing in time of the frequency content (Sgobba et al. 2011).
