ABSTRACT
The finite element model of Zirdan Dam is developed considering reservoir. Reservoir affects the
dynamic response of gravity dams considerably. So they must be well represented to obtain realistic result. In the model, the length of the reservoir is taken as much as fifth times of dam high to represent the impounded water.
