ABSTRACT
The main equations for a two-dimensional irrotational flow of ideal fluid are summarised in the first paragraph. Then the construction of flow nets is described. While the technique is restricted to two-dimensional flows, it provides means to solve rapidly some complicated flow situations. Analogies with electrical current, viscous flow and groundwater flow are presented later.
