ABSTRACT
The main alternative technologies, technical and technological solutions in rational excavation of minerals were analyzed. On the example of Petrovsky quarry contact areas by type of host rocks were grounded, ferruginous quartzite losses according to the planned mode of mining operations for the period 2013-2025 years were calculated, the amount of rock to be lumpy magnetic mechanized sorting was defined. The impact of surface mining on rational land use and the alteration of the hydrogeological environment and ecological condition of the mining region was analyzed.
