ABSTRACT

Because of the self-heating, which can be up to 10 °C or more depending on load and freqency (Pichon, Boutaous, Méchin, & Sauterau 2012), the material’s properties change while in use.

These temperature-dependent effects are the reason why it is necessary to create a material model which includes temperature dependent mechanical properties as well as self-heating processes. Referring to this, we present the results of some experiments and modeling approaches performed in (Dippel 2012).
