ABSTRACT

Silica (55 phr) or CB (50 phr). Modifying the fillerrubber interface is done by grafting surface agents onto the silica surface: a coupling agent with Sulfur (TESPT) and a covering agent (OCTEO) are used. Three different crosslinking densities have been obtained changing the sulfur and the accelerator (CBS) content (S = 0.5/1.5/2.5 phr). The ratio of these two components have been kept constant, to ensure a given length of sulfur bridges. The crosslinking densities have been estimated by Proton MQ NMR experiments (Saalwächter, 2007). By varying the concentration of sulfur from 0.5 phr to 2.5 phr, the crosslink-king densities vary from 10−4 to 2.5 ⋅ 10−4 mol ⋅ g−1.
