ABSTRACT

BR is often blended with natural rubber and higher material fatigue and cut growth resistance than NR are commonly obtained (Freitas de Castro 2003). The main purpose of this work is to evaluate the effect of both cis-content and Molecular Weight Distribution (MWD) on the mechanical behaviour of several cis-BR rubbers and cis-BR/ NR blends with particular attention to study how SIC affects the mechanical hysteresis and strength of the material.
