ABSTRACT
Virtual 3D city model are growing in number and extent from year to year. Wider availability of these data brings more sophisticated applications as one consequence. Reliable data with suitable properties is essential for the performance of modern downstream applications. Quality assessment becomes mandatory after creation of new models as well as for successful deployment. Although general awareness for quality-related issues in relation with 3D city models is rising there is still limited research undertaken in this field.
