ABSTRACT
In Chapter 3 the organization of a processor was presented from the programmer or compiler perspective. This consisted of a number of special registers, which were reserved for a specific purpose, and a file of general purpose registers, used for the manipulation of data. Now we are to be concerned with processor organization from the machine perspective.
