Systems analysis should result in a requirements specification. The designer then uses this in order to produce a design specification. A solution is then implemented, sufficiently self-documenting for any other engineer to understand. Figure 2.1 shows a flow diagram for the design process, which terminates only when the implementation has been verified against the requirements.
