ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the development of industry in Ireland, highlighting the contributions of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and networks. It examines the way in which the Irish government adapted its industrial policy to foster inward investment, and explores the linkages between indigenous industry and multinational corporations (MNCs) in Ireland.
