ABSTRACT
Whereas the current PCT filing is limited to electronic writing and media submission, it is anticipated that in the second quarter of 2003, PCT applications may be filed online, first with the International Bureau (IB) and then gradually at other patent offices. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which manages PCT filings, has established the procedures that will be used in this filing. It is expected that no major changes will be made to the system described below but you are advised to consult with the WIPO Web site (https://www.wipo.int/pct/en/index.html) to learn about the current status of filing software.
