ABSTRACT
One of the most important purposes of physical evidence is to establish the identity of the suspect or victim. This identification is possible through a variety of methods discussed in this chapter. Fingerprints are usually thought of first when considering methods of identifying individuals. 1 However, techniques such as handwriting examination, forensic anthropology, and forensic odontology are also important and will be discussed.
