ABSTRACT

Multiplier analysis is a central focus of Keynesian – and Kaleckian – macroeconomics. It is the basis upon which much of Keynesian and post-Keynesian theory of employment and aggregate demand is based. It is, in particular, what gives strong validity to activist fiscal policies, the aim of which is to reduce unemployment and increase economic growth.
