ABSTRACT

The ideas that I have brought together under the theme of strategic learning provide a bridge between academic studies of organizational learning, and learning and organizing in action. From an academic point of view, I have used the phrase to highlight a variety of insights that emerge from studying the relationship between emotions, politics, learning and organizing. From the point of view of practice, my inquiries into the relationship between emotions, politics, learning and organizing have provided a basis from which to rethink the organization of reflection, ideas and actions related to leadership, and in this chapter, issues concerning intervention from a development role.
