What hap pened that morning, we have said ever since, would be the most doc umented event in our en tire his tory. Our world was turned up side down. Our dreams be came nightmares. New York, the jewel in our crown, saw its World Trade Cen ter col - lapse as steel, concrete, blood, and guts covered the streets of lower Manhattan.
