ABSTRACT

Allan Collins is a Principal Scientist at Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc., a research firm in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is a specialist in the fields of cognitive science and human semantic processing and also in the use of computers in education. He is one of the founders and served as the first chairman of the Cognitive Science Society, and he is widely known for his work with Dr. M. R. Quillian on semantic memory. He was also one of the original editors of the journal, Cognitive Science.
