ABSTRACT
Because of its proximity to Angkor Wat, a United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site, Siem Reap Town receives more visitors than anywhere else in Cambodia. As a result, many new hotels have been planned or are under construction. In collaboration with the Royal Cambodian Government, the Canadian Universities Consortium undertook a preliminary environmental impact assessment of this hotel expansion.
