ABSTRACT

On the first New Year’s Day of the new millennium, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a retreat at the Spruce Lake Retreat. The beautiful scenery, fresh air, and sumptuous meals harmonized with the Christian fellowship to restore my entire self. Being blind from my late twenties, you may ask, can a middleaged woman appreciate the beauty of this idyllic site? With the use of my other senses, I can only heartily say, “Yes, I surely can.” There is even more.
