ABSTRACT
The analysis in the preceding chapter has supplied us with some elements to appreciate the principal reasons leading economics to concentrate on individualistic relationships, instrumental and non-tuistic. In the opening chapter, we acknowledged the recent revival of a form of reciprocity (i.e. ‘strong reciprocity’) which, as I said, I regard favourably but do not fully endorse.
