ABSTRACT
The prominent capabilities of the Japanese manufacturing industry, which are typically characterized by the Toyota Production System (TPS), are widely known. Many manufacturing companies have employed total quality management (TQM), total productive maintenance (TPM), and the TPS. These methods have enabled automobile and electric industries to market many kinds of high-quality products at a relatively low cost, particularly during and after the 1980s.
