ABSTRACT
It doesn’t make any sense. In such a great and powerful country that values individual freedoms, legislates the protection of civil rights, and pledges “liberty and justice for all,” patriarchy and its ensuing sexism prevail. Men make significantly more money than women and dominate over them in the political realm. In the United States of America, in spite of laws that define rape, sexual assault, and physical assault as criminal behaviors that will not be tolerated, and specify criminal penalties for these acts, men commit violence against women in epidemic proportion. Male attackers put women in danger at home, at work, and in the community on a daily basis.
