ABSTRACT

Although accidents and injuries will occur to any institution, the loss-prevention manager should be aware and prepared to render the necessary assistance during any incident that may take place on board. The more serious the incident, the more liability may be incurred against the business establishment, and it is incumbent upon the management of a company to be ready and able to investigate and defend itself against any civil or criminal litigation. This may include lawsuits concerning premises liability, product liability, and general liability caused by the action (or inaction) of an employee.
