ABSTRACT

When I [author Stephenson] wrote this book originally in 2000, the notion of cybercrime was pretty well defined. Now, that is not the case. Additionally, the past several years have seen marked advances in how we investigate computer-related crime. Simply, the issues that we addressed in the first edition of this work have become increasingly more complicated. At the same time, investigators and digital forensic analysts have matured their investigative and analytical techniques considerably.
