ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the term “liaison,” which is the working relationship and interaction between the private-sector security industry and public-sector law enforcement agencies. Candidates need to know the proper and effective liaison between the public and private sectors and some of the concepts behind establishing such relationships. This chapter will provide information to pass this portion of the CPP
exam. In today’s world of tight public budgets, criminal activity that routinely
operates on a global level, terrorist attacks, and more sophisticated criminals, the need for cooperation between the public and private sectors has increased exponentially.
