ABSTRACT
There is a wide variety of private investigator, private detective, and related professional associations, including national organizations, international associations, statewide associations, and local groups. In my opinion, professional people belong to professional associations. Doctors have the American Medical Association; lawyers have legal associations such as the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys (NACDL) and the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA). Likewise, investigators have numerous choices related to their areas of expertise.
