ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces terms and concepts that are associated with automated control systems, of which Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is a part of the system. Some of the terms introduced involve information technology (IT) related security methodologies and what methods would be used to breach security controls and their mechanisms.
