ABSTRACT

Among the alternative methods of preventing or dealing with unwanted and undesirable pregnancies have been the use of contraceptives and, if that failed, resort to an abortion. However, sex education is often needed to provide the information on how and when to use such alternatives, in addition to which contraception and abortion are practices that have provoked massive debate in our society. The disagreements involve not only moral and religious values, but also political issues and the status of women.
