ABSTRACT
Pharmacists know it is a privilege to serve their communities as health professionals. They also know this privilege is bestowed by those who grant them their licenses — the public. But to improve the health of the public as a national goal, the pharmacy profession needs its wisest, most experienced, and charismatic leaders to organize the pharmaceutical care movement and rally public support. To accomplish this, innovative practitioners have to blaze a trail on which others can follow.
