ABSTRACT

Genitourinary symptoms and disorders intersect sleep physiology in five important areas: the symptoms nocturia and enuresis, the conditions erectile dysfunction (impotence) and sleep-related painful erections, and sleep alterations associated with the menstrual cycle. In this chapter, we will describe these problems from a clinical sleep perspective, review their etiology, describe the relevant pathophysiology, and review current therapeutics, where appropriate.
