ABSTRACT
Motivations for cooperation will generally fall into one or more of several categories including money, civic duty, fear, revenge, special consideration while incarcerated, repentance, and ego. Very often, an informant may display more than one of the motivators, or his motivation may change during the course of his dealings with the government.
