ABSTRACT
Introduction In a warehouse with a WMS program, the storage actitivites begin with receipt of a SKU small item, master carton, or pallet. The item, master caron, or pallet is transported to a storage position. The SKU and storage scan transactions, position status, and SKU quantity, are sent to the WMS computer. The WMS computer update is the first step in tracking SKU flow, storage position occupancy in a warehouse, and SKUs available for pick transactions.
