ABSTRACT

With a focused collaborative effort and a clear set of metrics that bring rewards for the intended results, the network will eventually migrate into a value chain constellation that is preferred by the intended end consumers. Once that happens, the mutually allied partners can strive for the ultimate supply chain differentiator-full network connectivity. To understand one of the major difficulties in the transformation being espoused, we will consider in this chapter the part of the evolution that takes the firm across the cultural barrier standing between Levels 2 and 3. As we do, we will see that the next mistake is being averse to accepting external advice.
