ABSTRACT
The other tools that are used with JIT are often used with many other systems and are discussed separately. Some of these include total quality management, supplier certification/management, and supply chain management.
Continuous Improvement JIT cannot be successful without continuous improvement. As part of the effort of achieving continuous improvement, it must include total quality control. To achieve this it must have employee involvement. One method used by firms to achieve or to help highlight their progress towards these goals is inventory reduction. This can quickly make any issues in production evident. There will not be any inventory to hide the problems.
