ABSTRACT

Studying the complexity of the human face better prepares us to depict this multifaceted subject in a realistic way. In Chapter 3 we discussed basic information about faces that helps us draw, paint, and sculpt them in a realistic fashion. We explored human facial anatomy, variations in faces due to sex or ancestry, and the element of expression. Here we learn how to apply this information to the process of drawing faces in a way that may prove useful in forensic art.
