Training cannot be overemphasized and reinforced enough in terms of significant importance on new and existing agency or departmental personnel. If you are a single investigator in a law enforcement division, part of an investigative unit, or a victim services professional, or if you are planning to develop an internal team, a public safety multidisciplinary team, or are currently directing a team already in operation, remaining focused and updated can be accomplished through professional training (Davis, 2000a).
