ABSTRACT
Many “protective” companies have been created by people who spent 15 minutes sharing a cup of coffee and a doughnut with a law enforcement ofcer and believe they know how to be protection specialists. They could not be farther from reality! Even a 15 to 20-year police veteran will not have the necessary training and skills for close personal protection. It takes years of specialized training and experience to become fully procient in the nuances of personal protection.
