ABSTRACT
Individual character traits deemed important by an employing protection agency are what separate the employables from the wannabes. It is no secret that the best protection agents are selected from the most highly qualied applicants. Experience in the military and/or a law enforcement agency is an advantage. A college degree (at least a bachelor’s degree) is required by many agencies. A degree is not necessarily a requirement in the private sector, where the intangibles of personal character are considered of primary importance.
