Databases, loosely de—ned, are collections of computer data that are structured to make data digitally accessible. In addition to the Social Security Death Index and Ancestry.com, mentioned in Chapter 4, also see Chapters 6 through 8. šis chapter is not all-inclusive, but it covers some of the other databases that may be helpful in cold case research.
