ABSTRACT
This information is critical because existing data relating to the true scope and magnitude depicting the number of gangs, gang members, and gang injunctions are unclear. Depending on the source, some researchers feel the gang problem is getting better; others feel it is getting worse. By contacting law enforcement directly to collect information for this book, the number of injunction cases, gang members, gangs, and things like percentage of gang members by county enjoined or arrested could be calculated.
